About Marissa

My name is Marissa, I have a bachelors in elementary education, and I am currently a masters student. With this major, I have had a lot of experience with children as I essentially am a teacher's assistant in the classroom during observation/practicum hours. At school, I babysit a family with two 4-year-old twins and a 2-year-old boy. In addition, I have been watching my 4-year-old niece & 2-year-old nephew all of their lives, in the summer I am a camp counselor for children ranging from the ages 6-16 which I have done for coming on 6 years and recently promoted last summer to a sports specialist, and have a lot of experience with observations/student teaching, with volunteer after-school reading hours, and work with elementary and secondary special Olympics. As a camp counselor, I have plenty of experience in crafts, outdoor activities, and games/activities of all sorts. I am a soccer player at school so I am a very active person and can engage with boys and girls extremely well!
