About Demetria

I have been caring for children since I was a child myself. As the oldest in my neighbor's daycare, I assisted her and the toddlers throughout elementary school, which followed with babysitting infants to school aged children until college. During my summer breaks home I nannied regularly for three separate families and after graduating I met a wonderful family who I stayed with for three years. After moving to Richmond I cared for two children for two and a half years. In DC I worked for an active family in a nanny/house assistant role. I believe it is important for children to cultivate an enthusiasm for creative expression and novel experiences at a young age, along with an inquisitive mind. I love planning age-appropriate crafts and activities, taking kids on outings to library, museums, art classes, ect. In addition to childcare, I like cooking, cleaning, organizing, laundry, grocery shopping, running errands, and gardening. I truly enjoy helping the home run smoothly.
