I have 25 years experience caring for individuals with special needs. I have worked in group homes (3yrs), day programs especial intensive rehabilitation (2 yrs), case management (2 yrs), and am an adult foster care provider for 20+ years. I am highly trained in diabetic management, downs syndrome and seizure disorders. I am also highly skilled at child care and memory care. I was a professional organizer for 5 years with extensive knowledge on setting up systems to keep your home organized and managed. As an adult foster care provider I was the point person for all ADLS, money management, managing health care, including mental health care, for my individuals. I am highly trained at documentation and record keeping. I have knowledge of how the developmental disabilities, medicaid and medicare system work. I love working with the DD population and want to continue my career outside of my home. I believe with the right care team an individual can live healthy and happy in their own home.
