About Delana

I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, and compassionate. I like caring for seniors because I respect all the knowledge and life experiences they have to share with others. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to be of service to others and improve their quality of life. I started caring for seniors when I transitioned from teaching online classes to working at a place that provides respite to families that are caring for family members who have dementia. I also helped with preparing food and doing cleanup. In addition I helped with toileting and personal care for the members. I also worked as an Activity Coordinator/Senior Center Manager. In my spare time, I like to work in my garden, care for my animals, cook, and go hiking. One thing you should know about me is I'm a hard worker and will do what it takes to do a job right. I'm a friendly and communicative person. My skills include helping with mobility, communication, and listening carefully.
