For years, I've been taking care children: my brothers and family members, children of family friends, children of clients from Care. com, and children in the classroom. From infants to teens, I've had more than my fair share of experience caring for kids, and I've come to have a way with them that makes kids comfortable. I've always loved children, and I think that shows in the way I care for and treat them. I'm a certified teacher of ELAR for 4th-8th grade, though I've worked in schools with various age groups, from elementary through high school. I've even tutored at the college level and was a teacher's assistant for an Honors Literature course. English Language Arts and Reading is where I excel with tutoring. Words are my greatest passion. Reading and writing are my favorite things to do, and I love showing kids the wonders of taking in and creating literature. I'd love to get to know you and your family as your summer nanny or tutor.

Deidre watched our 7 yr old and baby for date nights, my 7 yr old really liked her and asks for her to come back. She was punctual, professional, and had experience with a variety of ages. She was also available for us with short notice. She was easy to communicate with by text message and gave us updates on the kids promptly when we checked in. My daughter loved the undivided attention Deidre gave her after the baby went to bed. She also was comfortable with my dog, and even cleaned the dishes! I would recommend her and hire her again.
