Hi! I moved to the South a few years ago from New Jersey to be closer to my family (I moved to the Villages a couple of months ago). I spent many years working for an agency that provides community residential support to seniors and individuals with intellectual disabilities. I started out as a direct care worker and was promoted to management 12 years ago. My favorite part of my job was interacting with my clients and am looking forward to doing that again. I LOVED being able to directly have a positive affect on their quality of life and encouraging them to safely ( through structured supports) experience the dignity of risk to reach their full potential. I have lots of experience with providing direct daily care (ADL's), behavior supports, medical care and therapeutic recreational activities. I am already working a job as a at home caregiver but I am willing to try to be flexible with my schedule and accommodate any special requests.
