About Debra

I have a deep and abiding passion caring for those that need watching over. I have been a part-time nanny for several families for over 8 years. Before this I supervised visits between foster children and their biological parents. I have in the past had an in home day care for newborns and had up to 5 infants. I have done babysitting throughout my life and love newborns and infants. I enjoy playing and doing fun activities with children. I have had many years of caring for children, adults that are disabled and the elderly. I have worked one on one with each person helping them to remain independent and in their homes. I have a belief that everyone does better when they are in their own surrounding. I have helped those who have needed a little help and others needing companionship and others who have needed help with full personal care. I cared for a lovely lady who had moderate dementia I was with her from 9-5 M-F for a year. We spent many hours on walks, gardening, and shopping.

Debbie worked for us from April 2018 until just recently when we found out we have to move out of town and therefore no longer need her full time. She started with us when our son was 6 months old. Debbie clearly loves babies and truly has a way with them. She was extremely helpful getting him to nap when she first started and we were really struggling with his sleep. Our son is always happy to see her and their bond has been very special. She spends a lot of time reading to him and playing on the floor and would take him to the park nearby to play outside, weather permitting. We strongly recommend Debbie, particularly for a very young baby, and are so grateful for the help and support she has provided for our family.
