Convenient piano lessons - I come to you. With young beginners I use a combination of traditional and modern teaching methods. Chord structure emphasized so that students know WHAT they are playing. Lessons also include a combination of technical exercises (depending upon the child's age), and theory along with music pieces they like. My approach differs for each student tailoring the lesson to the student's personality and (if switching teachers), to their current level and 'fill in the holes' that were not taught. I make the lessons fun, am a positive and encouraging teacher and will progress you according to your pace - not based on my expectations. You will also have opportunities to perform. I studied music at Indiana University School of Music and have been a professional musician/vocalist for over 30 years. I teach children from age 6 and up.
