Horrible experience. Debora and I exchanged several messages and spoke before interviewing in person. I clearly let her know before we met what I was looking for and she responded that it was a great fit for her (pay, hours, etc.). I then interviewed her in person and decided to move forward with hiring her (which she barley gave me a day to make a decision without pressuring me so she could "cancel" her other interview.) When I sent her a recap of the terms we had already agreed on, she said her hourly rate is higher. I reluctantly agreed to her new terms since we were so far along in the process. We then agreed on a start date for a few weeks out. A week before her start date I texted her to check in and no response. I reached out again the following day and she advised me that she decided to go with another family and that she was "sorry" to back out. She left me hanging a week before her start date and she didn't even proactively contact me to tell me! So unprofessional.
