About Deborah

I am an advocate for others, particularly for members of marginalized populations. I am patient and a good listener. I like caring for seniors because they have interesting stories. Seniors should be honored for the wisdom they have. I like developing relationships with people. I'm looking for a job that can utilize my skills of connecting with others that also can have flexible scheduling and can be fun! I started caring for seniors when my mom needed extra care. I moved her into my home and had her live with me for the last year of her life. It was very rewarding for both of us and I truly enjoyed helping her. In my spare time, I like to read, take walks, watch documentaries, listen to music and travel. I work full time with children on the autism spectrum and have done so for over 20 years. I love dogs and have 2 of my own. I allow people to take the lead in how I can help. I am also an advocate for marginalized populations and will make sure needs are taken care of.
