About Deborah

I love reading to children, doing crafts with them, running with them on the playground, and doing all kinds of creative play on the floor or table. For two years, I was a tutor to young children with learning challenges in an international school. I also was a dorm mother to 18 teenage girls in boarding at the same school. I also spent a year as a volunteer holding and comforting babies and children at Grace Children's Hospital. I've been a Pioneer Girls leader and I was the President of the PTA when my own children were in school. My greatest experience was raising my own three children to successful adulthood. I've had the privilege of babysitting my own six grandchildren frequently. I was a grant writer for non-profit organizations most of my career, but the jobs that I enjoyed the most were those working with children.
