As a student, one of my instructors suggested I tutor at our college's learning center. I tried it, and my passion for education began with my very first experience. The first student "light bulb" moment was exceptionally gratifying. It is an amazing feeling to assist others in reaching their full potential and achieving their academic goals. After over twenty years in education (full-time teaching, substitute teaching, and private tutoring of individuals and small groups), my passion has not waned; it has grown. From 2001 to 2003, I taught Integrated Science I & II, Biology, and Algebra at High School on an Emergency Credential. I also taught summer school for elementary school-aged at-risk youth . In addition, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Science at Private School during the 2004 - 2005 school .

My son has autism. She was especially patient with him. She tutored him his high schools years and throughout the summers. She helped him with primarily with reading comprehension in each subject. If it wasn’t for her continued structure and support, I don’t feel my son would have successfully completed the general educational requirement to graduate with his peers.
