Hi, my name is Debbie and I have over 20 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, individuals with psychiatric disorders, and those with autism. I currently work part time for the J Arthur Trudeau Center with 5 developmentally disabled men in a group home setting. I am responsible for medication administration, personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, positive behavioral supports, recreational activities, doctor appointments, and other important aspects of living. I have a graduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and truly love taking care of people. I am CPR certified and am trained in the Heimlich maneuver. I also have experience working with blind individuals, and those with seizure disorders. My goal as a Direct Support Professional is to provide compassionate care while encouraging those I service to be as independent as possible. I have a clean BCI check and a clean driving record. I have a car and can provide transportation.
