I am a mother of a 15-year-old bound am already feeling the pangs of the empty nest! I was all my girlfriends infant caregivers being they married so young. Then after being a stay home mother for 10 years, I kind of fell into care giving for the elderly . I'm great with older people so I'm told. I'm wonderful w/infants too. I lost a younger brother to complications of a premature birth in which he had open heart surgery at the age of one. He had a stroke and in a coma for several weeks . He defied many odds and lived to the age of six. How blessed we were to have him that long. Somehow I stepped up and took care of changing, feeding basically most of his needs except financial.. Didn't realize at the tine, but my mother shut down w/grief, understandably . I was 15 when his little heart could no longer hold out. Needles to say he, was a infant for six years. He never really grew. So basically we had a infant w/special needs for 6 years. I'm happy, fun , energetic and loving. I have a happy Christian home with my husband and son.
