About Deann

I'd describe my personality as patient, positive, inspiring. I like tutoring because I enjoy helping others to discover their learning strengths and how to apply them. I'm looking for a job that is consistent and supports creativity as a foundation for learning. I started tutoring when I began teaching special education in 2021. In my spare time, I like to read, write, walk with my dog, spend time with family and or friends. One thing you should know about me is I achieved my educational goals and graduated with high honors from Pepperdine in spite of mild dyslexia. I have twin grandsons whom I have cared for since birth who are diagnosed ASD, ADHD, and CP. This is where my training began. I believe all people can achieve their goals in-spite of challenges. My skills include PBIS positive behavior intervention strategies, Universal Design for Learning, Differentiated Teaching strategies.
