As a mother of a special needs son I know first hand some of the differences involved when caring for a child with some extra difficulties. As an experienced nanny, previous preschool teacher, and previous owner of a large home daycare I have cared for children with many different health issues. I am a CNA (certified nursing assistant) and have had CPR and first aid training. I believe that every child, no matter what their health needs may be, are a child first and should be able to experience all the joy and fun that their siblings and friends get to be involved in. I try to make that happen for every child I care for.

Deanne has been working with children and families for as long as I can remember. Her experience especially with toddlers and preschoolers gives her expert knowledge on what is developmentally appropriate and needed for children of that age. She doesn't have to "get on their level" because she always positions her words, her body language, her facial expressions to connect with children, it is in her nature and something that just happens when she is around little ones. She is great at following routines and creating routines for those little ones who could benefit from that, but also understands where children are at developmentally and what they can and cannot do. Deanne incorporates fun activities that actually educate and grow children as they are playing. When she is working, her work is her top priority and the needs of the children and family come first. I trust Deanne with the life and well-being of my children, knowing they will be loved, cared for, respected, encouraged, and inspired. I cannot think of anyone I would trust more with the thing most precious to me.
