About Deanna

Hello, my name is Deanna! I've been around children my entire life! I am one of 14 children so I've helped take care of children through all stays of development. I started babysitting when I was 13 years old and I've been working with children ever since. I ran an at home daycare for a year where I took care of children between 6 weeks to 5 years old for seven months before beginning my journey in the world of Early Childhood Education. I have been the lead teacher in various daycare classrooms including infants and toddlers, and have been a nanny as well. Currently I work as a middle school EL teacher. I received my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech in May of 2021. I am currently enrolled at Liberty University working where I am working on my Bachelor's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language with a minor in Global Studies. I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. I also have various certifications in Safe Sleep practices as well as many others.
