About Dayana

I have been a Learning Assistant for the Physics Department since August 2013, working in the labs and active learning classrooms; as well as a Learning Assistant in the Chemistry Department. Tutoring experience in math up to Calculus III, General Chemistry I and II, and all General Physics I and II courses (with and without calculus). I also have worked with the Teach program in developing lesson plans for a 7th grade honors Physical Science class. Below is a summary of my tutoring style- I personalize the tutoring session/s to provide and achieve individualized learning objectives and goals to fit a student's needs. Whether it is problem solving or generally helping with conceptual questions; I dedicate my time to guiding students in a way that will help them truly understand the concepts behind the material, while having them be able to apply it in their coursework. Of course this may not always be a simple task, but together we can make it work!
