About Dawn

I cannot imagine a life behind a desk, in a cubicle, or in front of a computer. That is why I wipe noses, apply Bandaids, carpool, read children's books, cook spaghetti and keep the house in order. This is where I choose to spend my working hours. Sure, there are going to be days when the kids are grumpy, the parents may be stressed out, and the dog may be sick, but I love my job as a nanny! I first started in childcare at the age of 20. I spent the next 20 years at that same childcare center. It was my home away from home, literally! In those years, I worked with children ages 6 weeks - 12 years old. My main position was as lead teacher and assistant director. It was a great learning experience. As a nanny, I have found that I have a great responsibility to one family, rather than several. I can form a deeper relationship with 'my family' than perhaps I would, working in a childcare facility. It is rewarding on many levels, as I really become a valuable member of their household. I am looking to find a great family to help guide through the good days, and the not so good days, as it is all a part of life. Thank you for reading my profile!
