I grew up in a small farm town in Illinois. It is where I learned the value of loyalty, dedication, respect, and a love for animals. It is also where I met my husband and where we raised our children. All of whom are now grown and with families of their own. My job history reflects years of experience and education centered around caring for others, 25+ years in the Medical Field and over 10 in Education. I believe that children should be given a greater sense of patience, understanding, and compassion in the world we live in today; that we should make the best of every day; that we should explore thinking outside of the box while keeping life fun; that it's the simplest things that we collect the most of throughout our life's journey. I work part time as a Substitute Teacher. I am grateful that this position allows me the flexibility to work around my Nanny schedule. This also includes nights and weekends. Insensitive, Unprofessional, Poor Communication We hired Dawn to care for our children, and despite things seeming fine, she abruptly quit via an insensitive text without warning and then completely ghosted us leaving us without childcare. Trust and communication are critical in this role, and sadly, she failed at both. Dawn was also consistently a few minutes late and spoke poorly about another family during one of our first meetings. I strongly caution families considering her as a caregiver.
