I have been a nanny for 19 plus years. I have also been a caregiver for a disable 36 years old with severe cerebral palsy, for 8 plus years. non verbal and in a wheelchair. I am very comfortable moving her from her chair to different areas. We use a sling to move from the floor to her chair and also for bath time. I've also been a companion for a 79 old year woman who had brain cancer. I came a few hours a week to keep her company while her husband got out for a bit. I would tidy up, chat with her, and would walk her to the bathroom in case she lost her balance. I would make her meals and do laundry to help her husband out. I realized then that as much as I love children I also enjoy the company of the elderly. Im very patience and never get bored. It is honestly a pleasure to be in the company of the older generation.

Dawn was a wonderful caretaker for my mother who was very ill battling lung cancer. Dawn would come to her home and keep her company because she was not well enough to care for herself. Dawn would spend hours sitting with my mother and talking with her and just keeping her company. My mother really enjoyed her time spent with Dawn. If my mother was resting or occupied Dawn would tidy the house and make lunch or dinner. Dawn was always timely and responsible. She would also initiate things Mom might have needed. I could always feel comfortable when I wasn't with my mother that she was in great hands. She is highly recommended as a caretaker.
