After a lengthy career in marketing (a very fast-paced life) and caring for my father for 17 years (dementia) and my mother for her last 6 months (renal failure) I decided to take some time off. After about a year on sabbatical I accepted a couple of care positions from this site to see how I might do. What a wonderful experience! I have been privileged to work with beautiful people, both the clients and their families. I am caring, smart, interested and have a good sense of humor. I like to garden, cook, bake, read the bible, and talk about old stuff. I enjoy long walks and try to eat healthily and always try to speak kind words.

Dawn is amazing! She has worked with my family for a little over 4 years. Starting when my mother had mild dementia to today when my mother is now in an assisted living community and has progressed. On top of providing excellent care to my mother, she helped me navigate some of the most difficult and emotionally challenging conversations of my life: taking away my mother's ability to drive, manage her own finances and live independently. Dawn always shows up with compassion and has an amazing sense of humor. She helped us see the positive. And Dawn helped me have a sense for what to expect as the dementia progressed. I feel so blessed and grateful to have met Dawn and had her be part of the care for my mother. I highly recommend her. Frankly, words can not describe the deep appreciation I have for her gift to work with people with dementia and what she did for my family.
