About David

Hello, my name is David, and I've spent over 10 years working with children in various roles. I'm currently returning for my seventh year as a ski instructor at Stowe Resort, where I specialize in adaptive sports, working with athletes in wheelchairs and mentoring children with autism. I also coach a ski team that I've led for the past four years. In addition to my ski instruction experience, I have worked at a school for children with severe autism and served as a wilderness guide in a therapeutic program for at-risk youth. I've also spent several years as a camp counselor. Because of my work with special needs children I am incredibly patient and understanding. I have a lot of experience with children suffering from anxiety and difficulties managing their emotions. In my free time I am an avid skier who loves searching for New Englands best back country ski spots and last year I hiked the entire Appalachian trail.
