I have been a practicing caregiver for over a dozen years. After taking care of my father with his dementia , cancer diagnosis and eventually hospice, I found I had something to offer others and wanted to learn more. I completed a CNA course in 2012 and started with an agency immediately. I learned more in the field with dozens of different diagnosed clients. From Alzheimer's Parkinson's, MS, Cancer and more through Hospice care. Sometimes it's just helping others with Activities of Daily Living. The ability to listen to others is key in having both the client and their family feel confident with having someone in their home.
