My name is David. I have been teaching in Special Education for 20 years. About half of my career has been in RSP (Resource Specialist Program) and the other half has been in SDC, (Special Day Class.) I hold five teaching credentials including a Level 1 and Level 2 in Special Education. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education. Toward the end of my career in teaching I was made the head of Mathematics in the SPED Department. I enjoy working with students who either are having trouble or have never understood Math. My approach is simple. I break the problem into its component parts. Finding a way to create success and building on that is the best way to meet a student's long-term goals.
