About David

Hi there! My name is David but I go by Alan. I moved to Chicago from North Carolina in 2018 to attend Roosevelt University where I graduated with a degree in Acting. This summer I worked as a Camp Counselor. It ignited a newfound passion in me for working with kids. I am currently working as a swim instructor and lifeguard at Goldfish Swim School, where I coach kids of all ages throughout their journey in the water. Watching them overcome their fears and learn what they can achieve while mastering new skills and having fun in the process is my favorite part about my job. Due to my unique background as an eagle scout and lifeguard, I am certified in CPR, have general first aid knowledge, and great outdoor skills. I enjoy teaching circus skills, building lego, being active, and taking up new hobbies and interests. I strive to lead with creativity, patience, and open communication when working in childcare. I have my own car and can help with pickups! I look forward to chatting soon!
