About Dart

Hi I'm Dart! (like the game!) I've been working at the Y's Kids Club for the last 3 years. I am basically a big bubbly kid at heart! I am passionate about child development and turning play into learning opportunities! I like to meet kiddos right where they're at- and with work them to learn new skills like emotional regulation and confidence. I'm hoping to be a safe and fun adult in kids' lives that cares about them as a person with feelings and opinions that matter. I believe every human, including every child, has a unique and important voice. I want to help them learn and grow to be kind, responsible, and individual. I'm in support of expressing and talking about feelings regardless of gender (AKA boys DO cry and it's healthy for them to). I'm in support of accepting others regardless of race, religion, orientation, gender, and anything else that may seem "different" than the child/family's own.
