I worked in a Senior Living Facility and worked in the Dining Room as the Lead Server - I worked closely with the MedTechs and Care Staff and was in many ways a CareTaker in the dining room, activities, and throughout the residential community helping in rooms and more. I have been natural caregiver for more than half of my life, as I've been involved in regular care for my nephew with spastic quadriplegia for 14 years. Additionally, I have helped care for my father for over 7 years, who suffered from a severe stroke in 2011. Their journeys have taught me a lot about the ongoing need for a companion who can support and encourage people with various needs physically and emotionally, and to just be a simple friend. I have also been involved in caring for my 91 grandfather in recent years, driving him to events and accompanying him for meals.
