About Darren

I have been natural caregiver for more than half of my life, as I've been involved in regular care for my nephew with spastic quadriplegia for 14 years. Additionally, I have helped care for my father for over 7 years, who suffered from a severe stroke in 2011. Their journeys have taught me a lot about the ongoing need for a companion who can support and encourage people with various needs physically and emotionally, and to just be a simple friend. I have also been involved in caring for my 91 grandfather in recent years, driving him to events and accompanying him for meals. I recently helped my brother-in-law recover from major surgery and realized that I can tap into my passion for helping others by making care-giving my primary profession.
