About Darius

Hi! I'm Darius, a recent Carnegie Mellon grad and even more recent transplant to NYC. New to the city, but also true to it, the city's been my second home since 1999 (my birth year!) Between staffing a theatre camp for elementary aged kids and working as an overnight nanny for a family of four, I have three years of professional childcare under my belt. My background in theatre and passion for making music fuel my creative side. With my first family, I was always the first in costume and last to leave the tea table. A former athlete, keeping up with rambunctious boys (girls too) has never been an issue. I believe children are too often underestimated. Growing up, I was blessed to have parents who held me to high standards - not just behaviorally, but intellectually. I love the opportunity to provide a listening, non-dismissive ear to the kids in my care. I've been surprised by both their reception of my responses and the knowledge and insight they imparted onto me. Let's connect!
