I possess a bachelor degree w/a major in Business Management & 2 minors: Advertising & Psychology. Grad w/ gpa 3. 75. I am an individual with adhd all my life. In 1972, no helpful tools to manage adhd. I somehow learned to cope otherwise, receiving a $700 scholarship in 1982 to help attend college. Now @ 60, my coping tools are not as competent now as at 10. However, I know now what helps and what doesn't. I've been able to teach myself 2 instruments, needlepoint, crochet, 2 languages (while ago). I'm able to teach others as well as others who have my illness and other mental health problems, how to calm down in a crisis, strategies on problem solving, and simply, convey there is some one right there to help them thru the process, to learn! I hope I can be the beacon of light for your loved one. After close to 40 years of learning what works for me, I'm hoping I can try to make your loved one live life more compatible with the living world outside their house.
