Hi! My name is Darcy and I just moved to Portland, ME this July. Before moving, I previously worked for a year as a caregiver at Shard Villa, a small level three residential facility back home in Vermont. As a caregiver, I helped with dressing, bathing, meal preparation, and transferring residents. However, I did not administer medication. In addition, during overnight shifts while residents slept, I completed housekeeping! I loved working as a caregiver, and I only left because moving to Portland was an opportunity I couldn't pass up!
