About Darcey
Experience: 10 yrs
I have working with children most of my life. I use to be a school librarian and also worked with children Independently as well. I recently worked with a 3rd grader since he was attending school but doing home school this year because the schools were basically shut down because of covid. I enjoy helping children improve and give them a positive outlook of there accomplishments. I was a foster parent for 16 years and worked with a lot of different children over those years, a lot of them were behind and had special needs.

Darcey was amazing! She was able to be the school support my 8 year old son needed. Distance learning during COVID-19 pandemic created some challenges with learning. Namely reading. J. regressed almost a whole grade level in reading! Being a full-time, single mom of two, didn't allow me to give him the support he needed. Darcey stepped in and saved the day! She worked with him every day, building his confidence and reading ability. Darcey was only with us for a short time, but she was able to do much in just one month! J. looked forward to his 'school time' with Miss Darcey. She was kind, but firm and had ways to encourage J. to do better. We miss her and would take her back immediately, if she returned to California!
