Hello! My name is Darby and I am interested in working with your family as a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula. I have 11 years of newborn & infant experience including in home and in hospital experience with singletons, multiples, preemies & medically fragile infants. Being trained in both of these roles allows me to approach supporting families through a holistic lens to support the newest member or members of the family as well as the parents through lactation, sleep management and their postpartum experience. Educationally, I have my teaching credential and BA in Psychology and Education, as well as a Masters in Child Life. As far as my experience with young ones, I have worked with babies as young as nano-premies all the way up to school aged children. Darby is extraordinary. This woman KNOWS BABIES. She is not just an extremely trustworthy and reliable carer - she is an incredible resource for new parents who are looking for feedback or troubleshooting on typical baby stuff like sleeping, daytime schedule, etc. Her experience and education (master's degree, years of employment in hospital NICUs as well as in homes) is deep, extensive & evident from the moment you see her with your kid; she just projects calm compétence. Can't overstate how impressed we are with Darby!
