Hello I am a recent college graduate looking for a job. I currently work with a child who has Hunter syndrome. I am looking for a job in childcare or special needs care. I worked with Best Buddies, which is an organization that sets up peer buddies (me) with someone who has a learning disability or is special needs. I have been blessed with some of the best buddies to be partnered with over the years. After you graduate college, they sort of expect you to move on from best buddies. I have not done that. I keep in contact with my buddy, at least 1-2 times a week. He lives 2 hours away so it is hard for me to see him in person often but I make sure to call him regularly to see how he is doing. I have learned so much from him and wouldn't trade our friendship for anything in the world. My schedule is pretty flexible right now but the only day I can't work is Sunday.

I have known Danny since he was in high school, so about 7 years. Danny was very active in the Best Buddies club at school. (I was the sponsor.) My son has autism, and Danny was absolutely great with him, as well as the other special needs students. Danny is very patient and kind. He is very responsible and trustworthy. I highly recommend Danny to care for any special needs child. He will ensure that the child has a great time, and you can be assured that you child will taken care of.
