7+ years working in childcare (ages 0-18), including 2 years in a Montessori 0-3 classroom. I also spent 9+ years working in Organic Agriculture. I strive to bring a calm, welcoming, and safe presence for the child. I am dedicated to interacting with children as beings who are worthy of respect, empathy, patience and understanding. I am also a firm believer that children thrive when the adults in their life are consistent and firm but gentle in upholding boundaries. I understand that you as the parent are the most important person in your child's life, and you know them better than anyone. I am happy to follow your lead in making a plan of how I can best support you in caring for your child. It is important to me to keep up to date with holistic approaches and progressive methods of education and childcare. Including pursuing my Montessori 0-3 credential & RIE credential. I am not willing to work for families who cannot provide proof of covid-19 vaccination.
