I have always enjoyed working with the elderly and young children. When I was in my teens, I'd sit for the elderly in the neighborhood and help them with cooking, cleaning, etc. They always enjoyed spending time with me, and I them. In my early adult years I worked at two nursing homes as a CNA. I specialized in giving care to patients with dementia as well as working on the main hall. I would give them oral care, showers, toilet by them, change them and their bedding, feed them and keep their rooms tidy. I worked some in home health about 3 years ago. I generally kept their home tidy, cooked a bit, showered them and helped them use the restroom, brush their teeth and get changed. We would relax and watch tv some together also. I do not have any reviews on this section of care. com as I just set it up. I can provide a more thorough background check if you wish.
