I've cared for children in a variety of capacities for almost 20 years. My mom ran a daycare when I was growing up, so my first job was as a babysitter for some of those families. Since then I've worked in after school programs, including as a Reading Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club with kids ages 6-18; a private nanny for several families with 1-3 children in the house; as a preschool teacher (before COVID shut us down) ages 2-5; and then after as a private tutor/homeschool instructor for three 4th graders, and infant care as well. I enjoy lesson planning, completing projects with the kids I watch especially if it involves things I can find around the house, baking (though I'm not a great baker, so I can't guarantee the finished product, it's mostly for fun!), going to the park or hiking on nice days, or reading--really anything that doesn't involve screens, as I do my best to engage kids.

Danielle was so awesome with our girls (1 and 2.5) while we had some time away skiing with friends! At at times she had three young kids at once when our friends were also in town (their kids were 9 months and 3). They had so much fun doing crafts, reading books and hanging out with her. She was so laid back and kind. We would totally hire Danielle again when we come back to Steamboat.
