My younger brother was born deaf, legally blind and has low functioning autism. I taught my brother basic sign language, starting with the alphabet. My adult daughter was born with ADHD and high functioning autism on the spectrum. She has become an amazing young lady fulfilling her dreams! I also worked as a Residential Direct Support Professional in group homes with people who have intellectual, developmental, and mental disabilities. I believe that my skills would be better applied helping people living with their family members in the safety of their own homes!
