Hi! I am a nanny who has worked with a family for 12 years! I am still with them and it has been an absolutely amazing experience, they are family now! The children are older and therefore in school full time. So I have a lot of free daytime hrs. I do watch the children in the summer too. But I think we could work out keeping these hrs! Growing up I was very close to both of my grandmothers, having lost my grandfathers pretty early in my life. I spent so much time with both of them. My mother's mom lived a block away and often slept over our house. I always took my father's mother food shopping. She lived the longest. Whenever she had to go to a rehabilitation center, I was young enough and could drive, therefore I had the time and transportation to see her often. I couldn't stand the idea of her sitting in bed alone. So I would go almost every single day and stay with her as long as my working hours permitted. They were a gigantic part of my life.
