I have found that, more often than not, individuals with disabilities or special needs are some of the sweetest and wisest people the world has to offer. For three years, I have been spending as much time as possible with the special needs community, and have found it to be incredibly rewarding work. I have been involved in a programs throughout my entire school career (starting in kindergarten) and have worked with kids with ADHD, brain injuries, early onset BP, pediatric schizophrenia, mild to severe autism, DS, anxiety, depression, FASD, and CP. There are few things more incredible than knowing you have gained the trust of a special needs child!
