I worked for two and a half years at the Learning Tree, a private school for students with multiple and varied disabilities, and I currently work with a special needs child at Dodge Elementary (during the school year). I am working on my Alternate Master's degree in Special Education, collaborative K-6 (elementary school). I expect to graduate at the end of Fall 2010. I love special needs children. I know that they have value in who they are, not only what they produce. I wish that everyone understood that special needs children are basically just like other children, only with special needs that need to be taken into consideration.
