I am a retired school teacher (age 53) with decades of experience caring for others; mainly youth but also some seniors on a volunteer basis and with family. Started in high school when I volunteered in nursing homes providing companionship (I've always had affinity for and respect toward elder people); and in college I had a job twice per week overnight checking on 25 residents, giving meds to some and incontinent care for about five. I had patients to dress for the day as well. I have cared for elderly relatives: companionship, listening, errands, feeding, and some bathing and feeding. Volunteered for respite care (stayed with wife with Alzheimer's to give her caregiver husband time to take a break, do errands, get out for a bit). I am not medically trained or licensed, but recently was a public school teacher and am FBI-fingerprinted and cleared, and CPR certified. Discreet, kind, highly competent. Thank you.
