About Dana

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, intelligent, and kind. I started tutoring when I was a graduate student, in the areas of reading and education, in 1983. Almost every year since then, I have had a student or students who need to improve their skills in reading, math, study skills, and executive functioning. I can't imagine anything better than working with students of any age! it is gratifying to see my students succeed and to know that I have been helpful in their success. I am also skilled in working with Special Education reports and plans. I help families navigate their child's Special Education needs and have extensive experience administering and understanding test results. I have specific experience with students of all ages who have ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, nonverbal learning disabilities, and other areas of strength and weakness. My graduate degrees are in Education, specifically these areas: reading, language, and reading/language disabilities.
