About Daisy

I taught 1st grade for 11 years. Prior, I was a Pre-k teacher, and ESOL Para. I also worked for Early Head Start as a Caregiver where my class consisted of 8, 1-year-olds. I'm dedicated to fostering the growth of children and my primary goal was to develop the child's identity and also their cultural connection to their families. I followed a curriculum and observed that their milestones were being met. I believe children develop at different times so I organized activities that would develop each child's own intellectual and physical potential. I feel children will learn through routines, repetition and through play. Having fun peaks their curiosity. I am also bilingual. As a parent of six, including three adopted children, I take pride in their accomplishments, including military service in the US Army and Navy. Now, as a grandmother of nine, I remain committed to empowering young individuals. I would welcome the opportunity to share my expertise with your child.
