I have been caring for cats, dogs, and smaller pets like rats, hamsters, fish, frogs, etc for many years. I grew up in a house with at least 3 cats present at a time, and continue to create a loving home for my 3 kitties now. I spent a month in a different state a couple years back caring for a friend's dog and smaller animals while they were out of the country. This responsibility included feeding her, walking her twice a day, and playing. I've gotten very used to changing out litter boxes and paying attention to how different animals respond to different ways of communication.
