Hi! My name is Cindy. I don't have any paid experience taking care of the elderly, only personal experience. In the beginning of 2020, my Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers. I moved in with her and took care of her. My Dad was there but he too needed some care and was on oxygen because he had lung problems. I prepared my Mom's medicine. The only thing she would eat was a biscuit and a turkey TV dinner. She always thought she was in the wrong house. I would sit with her every day. I would go shopping and run errands. While I can do pretty much everything for your loved one, I can't bathe them. Home Health came in every other day and helped my Mom with that. My Mom passed away in January 2021. Then I had to help my Dad. He was more independent than my Mom. He didn't have Alzheimers, he had breathing problems so I prepared his medicine, went shopping and ran errands, and cleaned the house.
