My first step into the career field was caring for the elderly, even at the age of 15 (back in the 90s) where I remained employed as a certified nursing assistant until I was 22, and then again off and on for the next 8 years. Since then I have taken positions either nannying or working with adults in their own home as often as an opportunity would arise - both through sites similar to care. com and home health care facilities in Omaha, Nebraska. We recently moved to the valley. My certification as CNA has expired, but I haven't been required to have it with recent positions. I can assist with some lifting, ADLs, meal preparation, light housekeeping (I'm a very clean person), running errands, etc.
