My experience with children with special needs was with a little girl with a learning disorder. She was 12 years of age, but her abilities were limited to that of a 4-year-old. She also suffered from epileptic seizures which required knowledge and training in the probability of one occurring. Not a day of my time spent with that family did my heart not feel the struggle of that family, and the unconditional love of her mother. It was truly an inspiring experience that I will take with me always and hope to share with other families.
