I enjoy helping people with special needs. My experiences as a caregiver and friend have proved extremely rewarding. I was a Teacher's Assistant for four years for my brothers Self-Contained Special Education class in high school. I was involved in creating programs to bring awareness of disabilities to my peers in order to create acceptance and eliminate certain isolation for students at our school. I went on to work in a facility where I was trained to care for children and adults. I was called upon to work with the participants who required the most patience and individual attention.
