I'd describe my personality as intuitive, curious and creative. I like caring for people with special needs because I have a deep love for all of the ways we are created differently and have a natural curiosity for how I can provide the best support to others. I love watching skills develop and seeing the fruition of not giving up and how that helps the child feel more seen, heard and understood by others. I started caring for people with special needs when I graduated college. My first experience of working with children with autism and related disorders was a challenge initially. Once I started learning from my kids, my approach grew and my understanding opened up and it has been such a joy ever since. I am currently a part-time nanny for amazing twin girls. We have done some great work with potty training, gross/fine motor development, speech development and day to day behavioral growth in patience, gratitude and attitude. I would love to support another family!
